Building communities

New Homes Week 2025 runs from Monday 3 to Sunday 9 February. This year’s theme is Community offering a chance to showcase the benefits new build development brings to local areas and the strong sense of community enjoyed by new build homeowners.

In addition to activity centred around our community theme, the 2025 campaign will highlight key advantages of new build homes, including energy efficiency, the simplicity of the buying process, peace of mind cover and long-term value for money.

Benefits of new build homes

Strong sense of community

With local parks, schools and open spaces often on your doors step,  you can enjoy building a vibrant community with your new neighbours.

Warranties and guarantees

New builds come with a two-year builder guarantee and 10-year structural warranty for added peace of mind.

Low maintenance

All new and move-in ready, you can enjoy a blank canvas without the hassle and cost of renovation work and repairs.

Energy efficiency

Research shows around 86% of new homes have an A or B EPC rating, compared to less than 5% of older properties.

Bigger homes, more space

Government data shows that new build homes are, on average, actually larger than older properties – result!

Lower utility bills

More energy and water efficient, the average new build house could save you around £1,500  a year on your household bills.

Homeowner stories

“We were looking at new builds after deciding that our cottage required too much maintenance and we wanted to move to something which would be less demanding.”

Judith

There is a lot of green open space on the development and we like the fact that the houses are not built on top of each other. When we look out we can see over the nearby fields.

Charlotte

“The biggest difference with renovating and older property compared with this opne is cost and time, because there’s always hidden problems with older properties”

Debi

“When we looked at new builds we looked at energy bills and energy ratings. When we got a smart metre we couldn’t believe how cheap it is.”
