Two show homes are set to be unveiled at a new development of 165 homes in Hassocks, West Sussex. Bellway South London will be opening the doors to its three- and four-bedroom show houses at Kingsland Gate on Friday 6 November.

Located on London Road, on the former site of Hassocks Golf Club, the development will comprise a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses. All the homes at Kingsland Gate are from Bellway’s Artisan Collection, a new range of house types built using a combination of high-quality craftmanship and the latest construction techniques.

One of the show homes will be the three-bedroom ‘Mason’ house type, which features an open-plan kitchen, dining and family area, and a separate living room. The other will be the four-bedroom ‘Weaver’. As well as having an open-plan kitchen, dining and family area, this property also has two bedrooms with en suite facilities.

Daniel Williamson, sales director for Bellway South London, said: “Viewing the show homes at Kingsland Gate will be the perfect way for buyers to visualise what their lives could be like if they were to live at the development. This will be the first opportunity for people to look inside a completed home at Kingsland Gate, and with all properties being part of our new Artisan Collection, we are expecting interest to be particularly high.

“The development is in a desirable and well-connected location, with good transport links to Brighton and London, and we have already received many enquiries from prospective purchasers, some of whom are looking to take advantage of the Stamp Duty holiday and the current Help to Buy scheme before they come to an end on 31 March next year.”

The Stamp Duty holiday has temporarily raised the threshold at which buyers pay Stamp Duty on a property to £500,000 from £125,000 (or £300,000 for first-time buyers), enabling them to save up to £15,000 on their purchase.

The current Help to Buy scheme enables purchasers to secure a new-build home worth up to £600,000 with a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage, with the remaining 20% being provided as an equity loan which is interest-free for the first five years.

However, from 1 April 2021 the scheme will be available only to first-time buyers on homes which fall within the regional price cap of £437,600 for the South East.

A selection of three- and four-bedroom properties are currently available at Kingsland Gate, priced from £439,995.
