House-hunters seeking a new home in Suffolk now have a bigger choice of properties to consider with the launch of developments in two of its most important towns.

Ashberry Homes is preparing for the onsite launch of the first phase at Saxon Heath, a part of the major Marham Park project in Bury St Edmunds, where construction is progressing well. Saxon Heath will comprise 132 two-, three- and four-bedroom houses. Following an off-plan launch in August, a sales office and two show homes will be available to visit in person.

The four-bedroom ‘Lisianthus’ and three-bedroom ‘Orchid’ illustrate the style of property and specification Ashberry Homes is delivering here, as well as providing visitors with some inspiration on decorating and furnishing their new home when they move in.

Emma Hawkins, sales manager for Ashberry Homes Essex, said: “Located less than three miles from Bury St Edmunds town centre and near the A14 for access into Cambridge or Ipswich, Saxon Heath has strong commuter links whilst retaining its rural countryside feel.

“Due to the rising demand for new housing across the region, we are committed to delivering high-quality homes for residents that fit in with the existing communities around Marham Park.

Prices at Saxon Heath currently range from £274,995 to £474,995. Find out more at www.ashberryhomes.co.uk.

Henley Gate

Crest Nicholson has launched 130 two- to five-bedroom homes at Henley Gate, situated on the northern edge of Ipswich and the first of three neighbourhoods that will form the Ipswich Garden Suburb (IGS). Once the masterplan is complete, Henley Gate will comprise 1,100 new homes and include a new state of the art primary school, a 30-hectare country park with over 2.7km of walking and cycling routes, and a local centre at the heart of the development.

With a variety of house types available, the development could be ideal for young professionals, first time buyers and families alike. The government backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan initiative and Crest Nicholson’s Part Exchange and Deposit Unlock schemes will be available on selected plots.

Karen Coulson, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson Eastern, commented: “Forming an integral part of Ipswich Garden Suburb, the development will have garden city principles at its core, offering a host of attractive landscapes, public parks and local amenities, including a brand new primary school on its doorstep. We are excited to be launching the show homes next year so that purchasers can get the opportunity to get a feel for the stylish design available.”

Ipswich town centre and railway station are within a 10-minute drive away, as is the A14, and families are well catered for with a number of Ofsted-rate ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ schools in the area. Henley Gate is also perfectly located near the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
