With some research revealing that 40% of first-time buyers plan to purchase a new home in the next 3-6 months, Barratt London sees the return of its ‘Help for Homebuyers’ event later this month, taking place in central London.
Taking place at the Lindley Hall from 4.00pm to 8.00pm on Thursday 30 September, aspiring London homeowners, and second steppers alike, will be able to hear from a range of industry experts on mortgages, the buying process and government schemes available with Barratt London properties, including Help to Buy.
Barratt London representatives will be joined by mortgage specialist Steve Gale from Torc24 who will be on hand to inform and educate buyers on the financial process, as well as industry specialist Lynda Clark, editor of First Time Buyer magazine, Louise Sedgwick, area director at Rightmove and property lifestyle content creator Jade Vanriel who will detail her own experience of the homebuying process for a panel discussion followed by Q&A session.
SMRT by Barratt at Eastman Village
Alongside ‘Help for Homebuyers’, the housebuilder will also share details of its revolutionary new apartment range: SMRT by Barratt; 37sqm of urban living space which was launched at its Eastman Village development in Harrow earlier this month. The innovative concept has been specially created to help ease the squeeze experienced by London’s ‘generation rent’, who face ever-rising property prices and rental costs.
Jim Wood, managing director at Barratt London, commented: “Buying a home in London is a significant achievement but one that can be highly complex, confusing and stressful. Our ‘Help for Homebuyers’ event pulls together all the information first-time buyers need in one place and answer any questions. This informative event, combined with the launch of our exciting SMRT range and our various online resources, is testament to our ethos of making homeownership accessible for aspirational Londoners.”
First-time buyers who attend and subsequently reserve a new Barratt London home by 31 October will receive a £500 monthly bonus towards their mortgage for the first 12 months; second-steppers who also purchase a new home at select Barratt London schemes can also benefit from the cash bonus.
