Husband and wife tell of their delight after downsizing to Crest Nicholson’s Oakgrove Village in Milton Keynes

Now in their seventies and with grandchildren all grown up, Mrs Gwen Corbett and husband John decided to downsize back in November last year.  Having lived in Milton Keynes since the town’s inception in 1968, and not wanting to turn their backs on the area they love, Crest Nicholson’s spacious two-bedroom home at Oakgrove Village provided the answer.

Close to where the couple already lived, the Corbett’s were familiar with Oakgrove Village’s wide range of local amenities and cycle paths and the easy access the site enjoys to the river, linea park and centre of Milton Keynes.

However, this was to be a downsize with a difference, as Gwen explains: “Most two bedrooms are small starter homes, which wasn’t right for our needs.  But Oakgrove afforded us plenty of space – so much so that our guest bedroom doubles as a study; perfect as John still has some duties as an emeritus professor.

Garden space is also ample, says Gwen: “It’s certainly bigger than expected, which is great.  We’re not what you’d call green fingered, but we’re enjoying the challenge!  Really, in every way it ticks all the boxes and Crest Nicholson have been brilliant from start to finish.”

Gwen said they both “knew immediately” that Oakgrove was the right fit.  Other features she’s fallen in love with include the coach house design of their house, the variety of designs on the development and the high specification finish.

There are still properties available at Oakgrove Village.  Prices start from 255,000.  For more information call 087075804306 or visit https://www.crestnicholson.com/oakgrovevillage/
