The UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, McCarthy Stone, is inviting locals in Lichfield to find out more about its forthcoming Stowe Place Retirement Living Plus development at an exclusive Discovery Day at The George Hotel on Bird Street.
The free event takes place on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 October with sessions at 11.00am and 2.00pm each day, and attendees are required to book a one-to-one appointment in advance by calling 0800 201 4811.
Once complete, Stowe Place will comprise a selection of 65 one- and two-bedroom retirement apartments to provide everything the over-70s could want for an enjoyable and independent retirement. The apartments will be available to buy off-plan in January 2022 and first occupants are expected in July 2022.
Retirees who attend the forthcoming Discovery Day will be able to find out more about the development, which is currently under construction. There will be an opportunity to look at plans and apartment specifications, and to discover more about the range of flexible purchasing opportunities which will be available, including the option to purchase outright, rent, or ‘part buy-part rent’. Local retirees can also book in to speak to the experienced sales team and ask any questions they may about living at Stowe Place.
Cheryl Bissett, divisional sales and marketing director for McCarthy Stone, said: “Our new Lichfield development is proving to be very popular amongst local retirees, and we are looking forward to hosting a Discovery Day at The George Hotel to give prospective purchasers the opportunity to find out more about Stowe Place.
“As we now enter a more cautiously optimistic time, many of us are looking forward to making plans for the future, and to embracing our freedom and independence yet again. For some retirees, this will mean reassessing their living arrangements and considering a lifestyle change so they can live their retirement years to the full in a place where they can truly be themselves, while also feeling connected and part of a flourishing new community.
“We’re really pleased to be able to give retirees a first look at the brand-new Lichfield development –appointments are limited, so we’re encouraging all those who are interested to get in touch without delay and avoid missing out.”
Stowe Place will feature a homeowners’ lounge – perfect for getting to know new neighbours – as well as trendy bistro, offering freshly prepared food – most aptly shared amongst friends. Alongside beautiful gardens carefully designed to ensure the perfect outdoor living space, there will even be a guest suite for when family and friends come to stay.
Located within the heart of Lichfield’s bustling city centre, Stowe Place has been designed to offer a striking balance between modern day needs and the tranquillity afforded by rural living. Along the city’s historic streets, a wide selection of high street shops and independent boutiques offer the perfect spot for some retail therapy, while a pharmacy, optician, medical practice, and dentist are just a stone’s throw away. For something a bit different, Lichfield’s iconic cathedral is a must-see while a vast array of green spaces, including the popular Beacon Park, offer astonishing natural beauty.
McCarthy Stone also received the Housebuilder Special Recognition Award 2020 for working hard to protect its customers – Covid-19 infection rates among homeowners are significantly below the national rate of infection across all age groups – and for innovation in the retirement sector.
